It is John's Birthday. "Oh.....that's who....uh...do I have to do this..." I groaned and twirled the ball in my hands. Well yes....I am in the netball team. Uh...yeah. And it's John's birthday. And he's in the damn crowd. Oh what else? My drama teacher wants me to freaking sing there. What's worse? There's sixteen minutes left in the game.
"Hey...good luck." I looked round to see Lia giving me luck. "Thanks Lia." I said. "You have a good voice though. The crowd will love you." I shook my head. "Yeah right." I could hear our side of the gym cheering. I'm against a pretty tough netball team from our enemy school. Even though I'm a good player I will probably get knocked down. I sighed and got up to shout. "WHAT TEAM?" I yelled. "MOCKINGBIRDS!" my team shouted back. "WHAT TEAM?" I yelled. "MOCKINGBIRDS!" my team shouted back, louder this time. I ran out, shooting a ball into the net. The rest copied. I had turned my microphone by now. I caught the ball from Kate and passed it to Lia, Lia passed it to Chris.

I was hit by one of the Ash High Students and I fell, bruised. But then from the crowd John stood up.

I scored the last 3 and our team won. "YES!" Karissa shouted, hugging Lia. I reached John and grinned. "Happy Birthday Sacapano."
"Best Birthday EVER." John laughed. I agreed. "I won it anyway." He was about to go. "Oh, wait." I reached over and kissed him. He blushed. "Hehe, just go with it." He nodded.
John was flustered.
